Japan Event Calendar (https://japaneventcalendar.com) tracks the dates, venues and official status of Japan's seasonal events — fireworks festivals now, with autumn leaves, winter illuminations and cherry blossoms to follow — for international visitors planning a trip.

Our data policy

• Official sources only. Every date and status on this site is compiled from official festival, city or tourism association websites. Each event page links its sources.
• Status transparency. Dates are labeled Confirmed (officially announced), Expected (estimated from the usual schedule) or Cancelled. We never present an estimate as a confirmed date.
• Updated twice a week. An automated pipeline re-checks official sites every Monday and Thursday for new announcements and cancellations; every page shows its "Last updated" date.
• Photos are used under Creative Commons licenses with attribution, via Wikimedia Commons.
